Free Presidential Inauguration Parties in New York City

On January 20th, 2009, New Yorkers will join the rest of the world in watching and celebrating the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Whatever your politics, it is a historic day for the United States when a new president takes office. And since New York is a very blue state, it's not surprising that there are plenty of blowout inauguration parties all over the city. Where will you watch the inauguration of President Barack Obama?
Freedom's Ring Inauguration Eve Festival and Costume Ball
Start celebrating early. The Freedom's Ring Inaugural Ball will celebrate both our new president and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 19th. The KISS FM Wake-Up Club will start broadcasting live at 6AM and the first 100 people to stop by will get free breakfast. The party continues all day with full coverage of inauguration events on a jumbo screen, prize giveaways, and free shots with every frozen drink purchase. Landmark Theatres Free Simulcast of the Presidential InaugurationLandmark's Sunshine Cinemas on the Lower East Side is hosting a live broadcast of the swearing-in of the nation's 44th President, Barack Obama.
